Other Peoples Kids

I was tagged by Katie to post pictures I have of other peoples kids, because of course I post plenty of pictures of my own child.

Donovan and Hunter

Hunter holding up his own bottle, at a very young age
Donovan, super dirty after bouncing on the trampoline

Minette super dressed up for her baby blessing

Minette, not looking so uber-girlie

Megan while we were out in California once

Megan a little more grown up, at the hospital when I had Parker

This one has Parker in it too, Kyle is on the right just 17 days old, Parker is on the left, a couple of hours old.

New Quirks

So I've already said how Parker gets some new goofy habit every week or so and then moves on to yet another crazy baby thing to do. Here's the latest:
Brooms and sweeping, he knows where to go- he heads into the kitchen pantry pulls out the broom and carries it around the kitchen, I've got some pics of him playing with the outside broom while we were in the backyard.

And his other new habit that makes me laugh... he likes to turn upside down and look at things through his legs.

Christmas Time Continued

Jason was unhappy with the picture of our tree that I posted yesterday, since it was taken during the day you can't see the lights- so here's a re-do
And last night we decoarated the first half of the sugar cookie dough I made earlier this week, the cookies that Jason decorated are on the left, and mine are on the right

Christmas Time

Here is the tree that Jason picked out and cut down for us while we were up north, but now it has lights and decorations on it, Jason picked a shorter tree than usual, so we could put it higher off the ground to keep Parker away, and it's working, Parker has only tried to touch it once or twice.
Our stockings, Jasons on the left, mine in the middle and Parkers on the right- Jasons mom made his, my mom made mine and I made Parkers, and I had some material left over after I finished Parkers stocking, so of course I made him a Christmas outfit to match.
We're very excited for Parkers first Christmas he missed Christmas 2007 by just 3 days!

Buckets of Fun

So these aren't the greatest pictures, but I have to post something, because I don't want that half mexican looking girl staring at me every time I sign in to blogger anymore. So here we go. I took Parker into our backyard today with a bucket of water and a bunch of little stuff (measuring cup, cake pan, ladle, cup etc...) and Parker had a blast his short attention span stretched so he could play with this stuff for about 45 minutes this afternoon.

First, he ignored the stuff I brought out to play with and played with the hose instead
He stirred the water with the ladle and splashed with his hand for a very long time,

And after I showed him how to pour water from one container to another he tried this (many times without any success). He would dip the ladle into the bucket of water and then try to pour it into the little tupperware

Our Baby

I was bored and found a website that puts facial features together to make a baby face, and here is what comes up for Jason and I

So it's not too bad, but I'm glad that Parker turned out way cuter than this, he looks kind of opposite of thi sactually

A visit to Parks

We got home last night from a week long trip to Parks, AZ where Jasons parents have a cabin. We went up to "hunt" for Christmas trees, to have Thanksgiving, and so some of the men who got drawn, got to go hunt for some elk, no luck with the elk though.

I think Parker looks super cute in his little hat that I bought for the trip

Parker and Daddy helping cut down Grandma and Grandpas Christmas tree, the day before Thanksgiving
Jason, about to cut down our tree for this year.

Jason and I went with Jason dad to take Parker and our niece Megan to watch the train go by, Parker was pretty amazed, and thank goodness he is no longer scared of loud noises, because it was super loud, the noise did scare Megan quite a bit though.
Then, Thanksgiving morning we woke up to this:
And this:
Parker and mommy in the snow
Parker with Daddy
And Parker eating snow for the first time.
Then later during the day, the snow started falling again, and we got Parker super bundled up to go play in it.
Jason tried to make a snow angel with Parker, but Parker didn't get it.
Playing some cards with Dad

Parker exploring outdoors after the snow melted, picking up pine cones

Cousins: Parker and Kyle playing under Kyles high chair, this is the best shot I got of the two boys together all week long, because it's unusual for one of them to hold still and miraculous if they both were still for even a second

While we were there the grandparents set up a tire swing outside, Parker likes swings for the first few swings back and forth, then freaks out and wants to get out, but he really enjoyed the tire swing when it wasn't swinging

Yummy
Oddly enough, he really enjoyed pushing the swing
Parker got stuck like this trying to climb over the chair, it's not the same as the stools he's used to at home
While i was packing up some stuff to go home Parker grabbed Jasons iPod and was playing with it, he wanted to follow me around though, and was torn between playing with the iPod which was plugged into the wall and following me, well he figured out how to unplug it and drug the cord behind him while he chased after me, he actually thought it was really funny

Pictures with Santa

So my sister and I went to Arrowhead mall today, and let the kids run around in the play place, and took some pictures with Santa Claus, and the best part about it, is that you can just buy a small USB drive with the pics on it, they didn't have that available before, so now we can share pics easily even with my parents in Europe!

Parker with his hands in his mouth

Parker and Hunter sitting with Santa, Donovan was being a little shy, taking 1/4" steps toward Santa, so he hadn't gotten there yet, and then Parker got fussy, so we have no picture of all 3 cousins

And of course, the Denny kids

Orange is the New Pink

Has anyone seen "Josie and the Pussycats" the movie, well that's what our house is like, but in an 11-month-old version.
Instead of being brainwashed into mysteriously thinking he wants a Big-Mac or that Gatorade is the new Snapple, Parker seems to get suddenly brain washed into some new little habit for a week or two at a time. For a few days he loves shaking stuff, then a few days later, playing in the pantry is the new shaking stuff.
Well his most recent crazy behavior is playing with the one of the stools in our kitchen.
These stools were actually the first things Parker used to stand up- and now they are apparently a good place to play

And he also likes to get stuff to play with and bring it under the stool. He does this daily now.
