Roadtrip!!

At the end of September we packed up and drove out to CA with Jason's mom in tow.

That night we went to a restaurant for dinner.

Then headed to the beach.

It was SOOO windy. It was awful and freezing. 

The ocean didn't even seem cold compared to the freezing wind. 

But that didn't stop the kids (at first) the loved the sand and waves. Though eventually all the cold wind was too much and we had 4 crying kids on our hands!

Let's Go Fly a Kite

So, I recently made the kids watch one of my favorite movies; Mary Poppins.

The kids loved it... they laughed a bunch several times, but they nearly fell out of their seats laughing at the end of the 'spoonful of sugar' song. 

And since then they love to listen to the Mary Poppins sound track.

Parker's favorite is 'Step n Time' and he spends all 8 minutes of the song running and dancing around our living room until he is all sweaty and tired.

Aria's favorite is 'Let's go fly a Kite'

And one morning they were listening to Let's go fly a Kite and they used their balloons to pretend that they were in fact flying kites:

Baby Walk

I should have posted this before, but Aria can walk.

She started taking 4 or 5 steps at a time right around 10 months. Then she started really walking on July 5th (almost 11 months)

Dancing and Playing

So first... yes both my kids are in their skivvies in these videos. Parker is usually dressed- this was a unique circumstance for him. But lately, that's the way Aria is like 75% of the time at home. She's a messy eater, and bibs don't work with her so she ends up crawling around in just her diaper most of the time.
Now that that is out of the way you can watch my nearly-naked children and all of their cuteness.
Here is how Aria dances.

This must my favorite thing in the whole world. Having a child is magical. Having two is twice the fun. But when your kids love each other and play together- it is something beyond fabulous.

Dancing

Parker dances all of the time. His most recent moves involve stomping his feet, and I think it's funny.
First we have Parker trying to straighten out his blanket so that he can dance on it. Parker loves to lay his blanket out and lay down and pretend to sleep, or read while sitting on his blanket, and of course dancing is more fun when it's done on top of his blanket.

Here's one of Parker dancing for me while I'm in the kitchen. He also plays Peek-a-boo with me a few times on here. He loves peek-a-boo like most little kids, and until recently he always hid behind furniture or something to play. Now he often just uses his hands and I think it's so stinkin cute!

Parker loves to watch Donovan and then copy everything that Donovan is doing.

He even likes to copy something as boring as laying on the couch pretending to sleep.

Funny Story

Parker loves to dance. At first he would just shake his head back and forth like he was saying no- but he now will bounce up and down while he is either sitting or standing- It is so cute!

Well Sunday during sacrament meeting the organist began playing the opening hymn and Parker began bouncing up and down, he did the same thing for the sacrament hymn- He's so funny- we're so glad we have him around
