The Rest of the Beach Pictures

When asked what Parker liked best about his vacation the answer was the beach. he loved it. He said that "next time" instead of going to Disneyland for three days and the beach for one day.... he would rather go to Disneyland for one day and go to the beach for three days.

The kids loved playing in the sand and digging a big hole.

And since our return to AZ we've gone to a few parks with sand and he wants to dig a big hole- every time.
I guess it doesn't take too much to excite you when you're four!

Testing the Waters
Aria loved going in the water and letting the waves hit her. Until she went out far enough to get knocked down by one and then one came fast afterwards and she was smothered by it. Then, she was no longer a fan of being in the water.

Then she went to Grandma to get warmed up.

Hiding from the wind.

The kids also went to look for seashells with my mom.

Terra at the Beach

So I have a big old pile of pictures from our trip to California- I am NOT going to put them all in one post- I'm no sure how many it will be, but here's the first.

Chubby Babies in ruffly swimsuits deserve their own post, right?

Playing with sand toys

Being cuddled by Daddy

I think I should frame this picture!

Family Pics

We got family pics taken back in December, while my sisters were in town.
And the best part is- we didn't have to wear matching colors. we did that last year and we've done it with the Tiemans... I know a lot of people do that, but I am just not a fan.
The Whole Gang - (9 Grandkids- 8 of which were under 4 at the time!)

Our Family of Five

It was cold and windy- so Terra was NOT in a good mood- so it made it hard to get a good picture of the munchkins (harder than it already is with three small kids)

I do LOVE this one- even if Terra is crying

Packing Up

My parents are taking us to California this week (and we are SO excited!)

So, I got out the suit cases.
First the big kids got inside and played peek-a-boo, but Terra liked them, too.

Oh man-- she is seriously cute!

Then, the kids 'helped' me pack.
What they thought we would need for a week in SoCal and Disneyland....

Books...

 More Books...

And some random toys and doll clothes

Good thing the packing is my job and not theirs!

Miss Aria

I can't capture the wild crazy silliness that is Aria in a post but I can share some and hope I always remember how she makes me want need a nap

First, I'll tell you that I try to take short showers in the morning. Like 2 minutes if I don't have to wash my hair about 5 minutes if I do.
But for a long time I would still get out of the shower and run through the house in a towel to find what Aria was doing- In just those couple minutes she would have gone downstairs, moved the ladder into the pantry, pulled out the jar of peanut butter and would be eating it straight from the jar. Or playing with scissors, or markers, etc. I'm telling you, never a dull moment with this girl.

Not everything she does is quite so exhausting, but it's pretty much always silly.

How she eats a bagel:
It's hard to see, but she keeps a finger in the middle 'hole'
Finger in the center again, and way too much food in her mouth.
 Playing with shaving cream

Just cute, brushing her teeth.

Picnic in the backyard

Aria had the opportunity to watch me exercise a few times, so now she pulls out toys and pretends to be lifting weights, or she can often be found doing this:

Yoga Poses

hahahahaha
She was potty training her panda bear.

Taking pictures with her camera

Aria is so fun and awesome- we love her!

Pipe Cleaners

So, there's this idea that is all over the internet.
Let your kids play with pipe cleaners and a strainer.
So I did.
And they enjoyed it very much.

But then...
Terra enjoyed eating the pipe cleaners:

And Aria put them all into her purse

While Parker made use of the strainer:

Are my kids adorable or what?
