Aria Turns 4

Back in August, Aria turned 4!

At the time both of my girls were pretty big fans of Monsters Inc, so for the traditional birthday boy/girl picks breakfast she got lucky enough to find some Monsters Inc cereal

We went to McDonalds and had ice cream, then let the kids play for a long time, since Aria LOVES the playplace

Then a couple days later we had her party. She had pretty simple requests so we were able to fulfill them all... they included:
Swimming at Grandma and grandpas
Monster cake
Pink and purple balloons

And the video of us singing: Here

We enjoyed her birthday and have loved these 4 years of having Aria in our family!

Here's a little about our girl at 4 years:

Her speech made some drastic improvements over the summer. She is still WAY behind, but there is progress

She loves babies and s excited (SO excited!) to have the baby "pop" out of my belly, since she's sure that's how it's going to happen

Aria is kind of a quirky little girl and we love all of the funny things she does

She loves sticks. (Random, I know) but she loves to find sticks and gather them into piles, she loves carrying them around the park, she loves to find good ones and bring them home. She collects them in the backyard.

She is crazy about umbrellas. She will bring them anywhere, she has broken several, but the brokenness doesn't bother her, she'll keep using it until we deem it a danger because too many of the metal things are poking in too many directions!

She loves to put things into something else to carry around. She'll put a bunch of little legos in a backpack and wear it around. Crayons in a box that she carries with her. Socks stuffed in a purse to carry with her throughout the day, and so much more. She doesn't EVER take the things out throughout the day. And when small items go missing one of the first places to look is in the purses in the dress-up clothes they are usually full of things she has stuffed inside. My very favorite was one day she wore one cowboy boot and one tennis shoe and she carried a purse with her. After going to speech and running a couple errands I opened the purse and found her other tennis shoe inside. It was so random I couldn't help but laugh.

Aria is still such a cuddly girl. She loves hugs and getting to cuddle with mom or dad.

We went to the doctor the week after her birthday and here are her 4 year stats:
Height: 3.9 inches, 40th%
Weight: 32lbs, 25th%
