For Independence day we went to the cabin as a family
While we were there we made some crafts for the 4th of July
First we made red white and blue spin art:
Here's what it looked like:
Then we cut them up to make streamers
The kids taped them up to 'decorate'
We also made fireworks with popsicle sticks and glitter glue.
Here are some flags we made/ate:
At the cabin the kids love the swings
The kids (epscially the girls) were really loving Monsters Inc around this time so we went into town and saw Monsters U in the theater.
At the theater... I haven't trained them t pose very well
Since it was the 4th we also played with sparklers
Terra actually burnt her hand on one, it as so sad. But she still liked them and obviously has long since healed
Another cabin tradition is going down to the train track and waiting to watch a train go by
Eating snacks while we waited:
Covering their ears (trains are loud)
Climbing rocks
Watergun fight
Jason helped the kids make a stick fort:
We played with pop-its (with Caleb, too):
And got nice and dirty:
We went for a hike and picnic lunch together:
