Notes

Parker wrote a note to the Willman family
 It says:
Dear Wiilmins (meaning Willmans, of course)
I will miss you
A lot but I woul
d like to say
thank you.

To: Willmins
From: Parker

He explained that he was saying thank you for letting us stay at their place last summer.

And here is the "envelope" he made for it:
Play with me I love you, twice

And a note he made for me with a few stickers added for decoration:
"I would love to say I love you! as well as to have you as my mommy!!!!"
Sweet Boy!
I found out the second half means he would like to give thanks to have me as his mommy.

May 2013

Another post of random pics, the last ones came from April, these are from May.

My kids enjoy playing in our living room rug:

Different days, but both girls fell asleep at the table:

All 3 three with little mothers day gifts they made

Goofy kid while grocery shopping:

The kids wanted some milk to drink, but asked for it in bowls, and then drank it like this:

They claimed they were being dogs
Silly kids!

Father and Sons

Back in May Jason took PArker to the Father and Sons campout and here are just a couple of pictures to show for it.

Climbing

We love going to parks when the weather is nice, and we live in an area with LOTS of parks and we just drive around and go to new parks all the time. One of our favorites though is nearby and has just one piece of equipment:

The kids LOVE climbing on this thing!

Homeschool: Plants

We had a short homeschool unit on plants and we were able to get a great deal on an annual pass to the Desert Botanical Garden so we went a few times to check out local plants

Twice a year they have a butterfly exhibit and we got to check that out a few times.
Outside the butterfly house were these goofy picture props:
Caterpillar Aria

Butterfly Parker

Butterfly Terra
"What's going on here?"

Terra and me, watching butterflies eat

There are so many butterflies around that they will land on you sometimes
On Parker's sleeve
On Terra's hat
Here's just a random one of Aria admiring some flowers:

They have an activity set up where you can grind mesquite pods with stones

Having a snack:

One benefit of your husband getting laid off... he can come with you everywhere. So we got to go with Daddy also!

And the three kids at the gardens, with their hats that great-grandma Statler bought them when she came with us.

The kids love to play hide and seek with me in stores, and one of their favorites is Joanns

Your Good

I started teaching Parker piano, and he drew this picture of himself learning
Our piano is in our office, which explains the computer you can see behind him

Parkers 5th Year

So this is pretty late, but I need to put some stuff down about Parker as he turned 5 years old.

First off, we had his Dr appointment and here are his stats:
Weight: 40 lbs... 40%
Height: 44 inches.... 67%

Keeping with the pattern of tall and skinny.

During his fifth year Parkers love of learning grew like crazy. He learned to read and never looked back, by his fifth birthday he had read over a dozen chapter books on his own. (stuff like magic tree house, etc.)
Parker also loves math, he has no idea that math isn't "fun" he enjoys having me write out word problems for him.

Parker is just as sweet as ever. A little shy maybe but he truly loves others and wants to be kind to them, even if he is often to nervous to speak to them.

His obsession with trains made way for an obsession with space. ALL things space; planets, stars, galaxies etc. Oddly enough he says he has NO interest in being an astronaut when he grows up. He claims he wants to be a "study-er" and sometimes says that what he wants to study is space.

Parker loves jokes. Knock-knock jokes are probably the favorite. It's funny to me how he can laugh at the same joke over and over and over again.

I can't think of more now, but at least we've got something down. I LOVE this little boy!

April Fools

We continued out tradition of silly and non-harmful pranks on April Fools this year. Parker wanted to repeat some from last year, including putting cold coins in daddies shoe, and serving a breakfast for daddy using play food.

One new 'trick' from this year was so silly, but here it is:

Parker and I painted mustaches on ourselves.

And a quick video
